More From Miles Part II

AH! It's been way too long since an update, which seems to be our anthem.
From the Greenwall Studios department: Sage and I wrote a sketch--actually wrote, every line and stage direction--called "Dating Show", which will be filmed soon. I won't be in it (I'll be directing) but Sage is gonna be a very sleazy game show host. Brady gets to play the straight man, which is nice for a change.
The Hobo Rock is up, the culmination of maybe a month of filming. It's one of the best-produced films we ever made: I went back to the master clips from Da' Hobo Rap to use for some of the scenes, which was nice and fun to remember filming.
It's going to be difficult in the next few weeks to film, despite the fact that we have four contributing writers right now: Brady, Sage, Stephen, and myself. (Reads off as an English Tea castline.) The fact that half of that group goes to different schools makes it hard to plan film dates. We'll see how things turn out.
We applied for a YouTube partnership! It's incredibly unlikely that we'll get in on the first try but it's good to go for it anyway; YouTube might pay more attention to us now.
From the Greenwall Records department: it shows how long it's been since the last post by the number of performances Fading Hail has had. We performed not once, but twice at the Vancouver Farmers Market: our total revenue is nearing $300. We're working on some more publicity and it's possible that we're going to play at the place formerly known as Moxie's. We auditioned a bass player and I thought he sounded great. We're going to have him back again to make sure but as far as I'm concerned he's in. Defintly still waiting for Sage's say in this, though, because I don't want to overrule him.
I've been on a songwriting binge recently. Our studio album, tentatively titled Stories, will be out about December or January. About 7 or 8 of the ten songs I'm writing are done. Provided Sage and/or Nathan write two between them, we'll have a full album ready. I'm psyched.

Torey's group, yet to be named, is swapping members around quickly. It looks like--he'll correct me if I'm wrong, I hope--he's got himself, two guitar players, and maybe a bass player. Or maybe just three guitar players. And one of those guitar players might be a drummer instead. We're hoping to see some very cool stuff out of the chaos, though. Torey put a new single up on Greenwall Records, "Lost" by Coldplay, which is a very cool song. I played the guitar solo but it was definetly a Torey production, and it was well played musically.

We're hoping to sign some more artists we can feature, especially if our partnership goes through. Sage's cousin, a stop-motion artist, is likely to join up with us, and I'm considering founding GreenwallPictures for visual art/stop motion needs. Sage would be the director of that. We'll see whether we need it or not.

Thanks everyone,
Miles

A Gig!

I've returned for another update, mostly because there is so much news I couldn't not post! The first and foremost of all this news is that our band has finally been booked for a gig! Two even (although one is tenative) We are set to play at the Farmers Market in Esther Short Park, this coming Sunday the 6th from approx. 10:30-12:00 (then maybe the 20th a little earlier). So between now and then, we're trying to get in as much practice time as possible. Hopefully we'll get about two in before then, but I think that we'll be okay, there's just a few things we need to touch up on.

In the next news two new shorts have been put up. These are Fairy Tales and When Life Gives You Lemons. Personally I liked Fairy Tales better, but Lemonade Stand was definatly ok. Unfourtanatly I wasn't able to work on either as I was busy on another project, whic leads us too...

The Rumour Mill! Well this sites rumour mill, not a short. But Miles and I have been writing and scripting and we've come up with a full script for our newest project, one with tons of potential. We'll be introducing three brand new actors along with myself and Brady as well as working with a complete actual script for the first time. I have a feeling this won't be filmed for at least a little while (what with band stuf and all that) but I really can't wait.
